Dr. Eunice Marete

 Deputy Commission Secretary - Standards and Quality Assurance

Dr. Marete holds a PhD. in Food Science from University College Dublin (Ireland), Master of Science in Chemistry, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, JKUAT. Previously, she was a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry and the Director, Quality Assurance and Career Services at Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST). She was also the Patron of the university. She also served the university as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning) and Registrar (Academic and Students Affairs) at MUST both on acting capacity.Dr. Marete is an advocate of protecting the environment to provide a peaceful coexistence. She is also passionate about research and her research interests are in extraction and characterization of bioactive constituents from medicinal plants and possible incorporation into food products.
