Commissioner Nyabiosi earned his Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honors from the University of Nairobi in 2008, laying the foundation for his legal expertise. Building upon this, he pursued a Master of Laws Degree in Public Finance and Financial Services Law from the same University in 2010, further honing his specialization in financial matters. Complementing his legal qualifications, he attained CPA-K and CPS-K qualifications from Strathmore University, showcasing his commitment to interdisciplinary proficiency.
He is a practising Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, having been admitted to the Bar in 2011, after obtaining his post-graduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), a Member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICS) as well as a Member of the Kenya Section of International Commission of Jurists (ICJ-K).
With over 14 years of experience in corporate legal and finance management, Commissioner Nyabiosi has navigated complex cross-border tax, legal, and compliance landscapes with finesse. His tenure at KPMG East Africa, Wananchi Group, and the African Human Rights and Access to Justice (AHRAJ) Programme at ICJ Kenya equipped him with invaluable insights into navigating regional regulatory frameworks. Currently, he serves as a trusted consultant for Africa’s leading video entertainment broadcaster, overseeing tax, legal and fiscal compliance across East, Central, and West Africa.
Beyond his professional endeavours, Commissioner Nyabiosi is a dedicated member of the academic community. Since 2008, he has been a member of faculty at Strathmore Law School and the Strathmore Institute, sharing his expertise with future generations of legal and financial professionals.
His commitment to excellence extends to governance roles, where he served as an Independent Council Member of Kibabii University from 2017 to 2023. During his tenure, he chaired the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee of Council, as well as serving as a member of the Awards and Sealing Committee, demonstrating his dedication to upholding transparency and accountability.
