The Commission led by the Chairman Prof. Chacha Nyaigotti-Chacha and CEO Prof. Mike Kuria championed a statutory mandate leading to award of Charters to Management University of Africa and Tangaza University at State House, Nairobi by President William Ruto. The Commission played a pivotal role in the rigorous process to ensure the two institutions of higher learning adhere to set standards and regulations that led to the award of charters. Present also during the charter award ceremony was the Cabinet Secretary for Education Hon. Ezekiel Machogu.

In his speech, the president commended the commission for the meticulous process and oversight over the quality of education in our country. The President directed the Commission for Higher Education to ensure that institutions of higher learning adhere to the highest standards of integrity for global recognition.

“The Commission for Higher Education has an almost sacrosanct mandate to ensure that our education, a tool for sharpening our most important resource, our human capital, meets the best standards possible,” he asserted.

Concisely, the President's remarks reinforce the importance of the Commission for University Education in upholding quality and integrity in university education in Kenya, emphasizing the critical role it plays in shaping the nation's future.
